Ganduje Throws Verbal Punches: Heated Exchange with Former Ally Kwankwaso Continues
APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje threw jabs at his predecessor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and confirmed that Kwankwaso had lobbied to be appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Ganduje said that Kwankwaso’s lobbying was unsuccessful because of his persistent attacks on the legacy of the APC in Kano State.
He also accused Kwankwaso of engineering the demolitions of houses in Kano in order to portray himself as the “IDAN” that would revive the Abuja masterplan.
Kwankwaso’s camp has denied the allegations, saying that Ganduje is trying to taint his principal’s image.
The NNPP National Publicity Secretary, Major Agbo, said that the APC did not deserve a response and that Kwankwaso had already spoken on the matter.
The exchange between Ganduje and Kwankwaso is the latest in a series of public feuds between the two former allies. The two men fell out after Kwankwaso defected from the APC to the NNPP in 2022.
