Hon Babatunde Alonge, the APC chairmanship candidate for Ibadan North East Local Government Area (LGA), has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the presidential election tribunal.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Alonge said President Bola Ahmed  Tinubu’s victory was a “major step forward for Nigerian democracy,” as it would strengthen the country’s democratic institutions and send a message to the world that Nigeria is a country that respects the rule of law.

“This is a victory for all Nigerians who believe in democracy and the rule of law.”

“I hereby congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and most importantly, our party, All Progressives Congress,” Alonge said.

He further used the medium to call on the people of the Ibadan North East LGA to vote for him at the coming local government election in Oyo state.

“I am confident that with your support, We can make Ibadan North East a better place for all.”

The election tribunal had upheld Tinubu’s victory in the February 2023 presidential election, dismissing all the petitions filed by the opposition parties and their candidates.
