Ramadan: Arisekola Alao Urges Spiritual Reflection, Compassion, and Community Bonding

As the Muslim faithful begin the sacred month of Ramadan, Hon Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, Ibadan North Federal Constituency Hopeful under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the Muslim community, urging them to embrace the virtues of patience, compassion, and self-discipline throughout the 30-day fast.
In a statement from his media office, Arisekola Alao emphasized that Ramadan is a time for deep spiritual reflection, prayer, and communal harmony, marking the period when the Holy Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

“This holy month serves as a reminder of the values of faith, selflessness, and devotion to the Almighty. As we embark on this 30-day journey of fasting and prayers, I encourage us all to use this time to strengthen our relationship with Allah, seek His blessings, and extend kindness to those around us,” he stated.
He further urged Muslims to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in Ibadan North, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole, stressing that the lessons of Ramadan—sacrifice, generosity, and piety—should guide everyone in their daily lives.
“Let us use this opportunity to pray for our country’s continued progress and the well-being of our people. May this Ramadan bring us closer to Allah and inspire us to foster love, peace, and understanding in our communities,” he added.
