Sen Ayo Adeseun, Oyo State elder stateman has congratulated all Muslim faithful as he wishes them a cheerful and memorable Eid El Kabir celebration.
In his felicitation message, Sen Hamzat Ayo Adeseun admonished all to embrace the spirit of sacrifice by sharing our blessings with others and fostering a sense of unity, empathy, and solidarity within our communities.
“To the Esteemed members of the Oyo State Muslim Ummah and the global community,
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu!
On the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha, I, Senator Hamzat Ayo Adeseun, extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and to people around the world. May this auspicious festival bring you abundant blessings, peace, and prosperity.
“Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid Kabir, is a time of reflection, gratitude, and sacrifice. It commemorates the steadfastness and unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his willingness to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismail (peace be upon him), as an act of submission to Allah’s command. This occasion teaches us the values of obedience, generosity, and compassion towards one another.
As we gather with family, friends, and loved ones to celebrate this significant occasion, let us remember those who are less fortunate and extend a helping hand to those in need. Let us embrace the spirit of sacrifice by sharing our blessings with others and fostering a sense of unity, empathy, and solidarity within our communities.
“Oyo State is a community known for its diversity, cultural richness, and religious tolerance. The Muslim Ummah in Oyo State has continually showcased an exemplary commitment to peace, harmony, and the pursuit of common goals. It is my earnest hope that Eid Kabir strengthens the bonds of love, respect, and understanding among us all.
Furthermore, I extend my warm wishes to Muslims across the globe. May this occasion be a source of joy, spiritual renewal, and deepening of faith for you and your families. Let us use this blessed time to reflect on our individual and collective responsibilities towards building a just, peaceful, and inclusive society.
Once again, I wish you all a joyous Eid al-Adha filled with love, harmony, and countless blessings. May this occasion bring us closer to our Creator and inspire us to be better individuals, neighbors, and citizens.
Eid Mubarak,” he added.
