Workers’ Day: Prof Abiodun Gbolagade Celebrates Workers, Commends Their Role in National Development

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark this year’s International Workers’ Day, Prof. Abiodun Gbolagade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oluyole Federal Constituency, has extended heartfelt commendation to Nigerian workers for their unwavering commitment to the nation’s development.
In a statement issued to the public, Prof. Gbolagade saluted the resilience, sacrifice, and diligence of workers across various sectors, describing them as the backbone of Nigeria’s progress and the foundation upon which the nation’s greatness is built.

He noted that from education to healthcare, agriculture to public service, Nigerian workers have remained steadfast in their contributions despite prevailing socio-economic challenges, and their impact continues to shape the direction of the country.
“I commend the workers of Oluyole Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and the nation at large for their tireless efforts and enduring spirit. Your labour sustains families, drives innovation, and upholds the economy. Your role in nation-building is irreplaceable.”
He urged workers to remain optimistic and trust the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which he said has consistently demonstrated a commitment to prioritising labour welfare, economic revitalisation, and sustainable national progress.
“The administration’s focus on economic reforms and inclusive policies will, in due time, yield results that will improve the quality of life for workers and all Nigerians. Let us continue to believe in the strength of our unity and the promise of a better future.”
