Sallah Celebration: Oyo Rep Akin Alabi Disburses ₦20 Million, Donates Rams, Announces Post-Sallah Financial Empowerment, and Urges Patience on Road Projects

As part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebration and in anticipation of his second anniversary in the 10th National Assembly, the Honourable Member representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Works, Rep. Akin Alabi, has disbursed ₦20 million, donated rams to Islamic leaders, and announced a new phase of financial empowerment set to commence immediately after Sallah.
According to a statement released by his Media Aide, Hameed Mustapha Ramadan, the funds were distributed at the APC Local General Meeting, where party loyalists across Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Governments benefited directly from the financial support.


In the spirit of Eid, Rep. Alabi also donated rams to Islamic spiritual leaders across the constituency to support communal prayers and enhance the celebration.
In his Sallah message, Rep. Alabi extended warm wishes to all Muslim faithful, praying for a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir. He called on citizens to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, and mutual support that define the season.
Addressing constituents traveling during the festivities, the lawmaker appealed for patience in areas currently affected by ongoing infrastructure projects. He noted that while construction may temporarily cause disruptions, the long-term impact will greatly improve connectivity and economic growth.
Ongoing projects facilitated through his office include:
Erunmu–Egbeda Road, Fatuma–Ajiwogbo Link Road, Salawu Road all in Egbeda LGA, and Abaotun–Fakayode Road, Amuloko Road, Paara Bridge Project all in Ona-Ara LGA
“These projects are part of our long-term commitment to infrastructure renewal and sustainable development. I urge our people to remain patient as we deliver lasting solutions,” he said.
Jagun Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oloye Akin Alabi through His Campaign Director, Adebowale Amoo further announced that a fresh round of financial empowerment programs will begin immediately after the Sallah celebrations. The empowerment will target traders, artisans, women, and youth across all wards in the constituency, with details on disbursement and selection processes to be unveiled in the coming days.
With his second anniversary in the 10th Assembly approaching on June 13, 2025, Rep. Akin Alabi reaffirmed his pledge to continue prioritizing infrastructure development, economic mega empowerment, and grassroots engagement, reiterating his dedication to the service and progress of his constituents.
