The Rotary Club of Ibadan-Oritamefa will on Saturday, August 16, 2025, present awards to Nigeria Distilleries Limited and several distinguished individuals in recognition of their contributions to humanitarian causes and national development.

According to a statement by Rotarian Adeniyi Abiodun Adeoti, Chairman of the Publicity Committee for the investiture planning, the event will also mark the club’s 11th investiture ceremony. At the occasion, Rotarian Dr. Olatunde Ogundiran will be installed as President, alongside the induction of the Board of Directors and new members.

The programme will further serve as a fundraising platform to support the club’s 2025–2026 community development initiatives in Rotary International’s focus areas, including basic education and literacy, peacebuilding and conflict resolution, child and maternal health, disease prevention and treatment, water, sanitation and hygiene, economic and community development, and environmental protection.

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Esq., will chair the occasion, with retired Major General Oladayo Popoola and Madam Adebisi Popoola serving as Father and Mother of the Day respectively. Other expected guests include Rt. Hon. Moses Oluwatoyin Fayinka of the House of Representatives, Engr. Oluwole Agbaje of Idea Konsult Ltd., Rotary leaders across the district, and other invited dignitaries.

The Investiture Planning Committee, chaired by Rotarian Ojo Jimoh, President-Elect of the club, has pledged thorough preparations for the ceremony.

The event is scheduled to hold at the Afe Babalola Bar Centre, opposite the NTC Building, Iyaganku, Ibadan, starting at 12 noon.
