Fire Incident: Barr Akeem Agbaje Commiserates with Dr Yinka Ayefele and Fresh FM Management

Barr. Akeem Agbaje, a chieftain o of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant, has commiserated with Chief Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON) and the entire management and staff of Fresh FM Nigeria over the fire incident that occurred at the station’s head office in Challenge, Ibadan, on Friday, August 15, 2025.

In a statement, Barr. Agbaje described the development as a sad and unfortunate occurrence that has affected one of the foremost broadcasting outfits in the state. He noted that Fresh FM, since inception, has played a pivotal role in promoting quality journalism, entertainment, and community development, and its contribution to the media landscape remains invaluable.


According to him, the news of the fire, which damaged the studios of Fresh 105.9 FM and Blast 98.3 FM as well as vital equipment, came as as unfortunate, however, that he was thankful to the Almighty that no life was lost to the inferno.

“I deeply sympathize with Dr. Yinka Ayefele, the management, and staff of Fresh FM Nigeria on this painful incident. It is truly heartbreaking to see such a reputable institution, which has become a household name in Oyo State and beyond, go through this kind of setback.”

The illustrious son of Ibadan, also expressed gratitude to residents, passersby, and officials of the Oyo State Fire Service who rallied in time to help contain the inferno, describing their efforts as a demonstration of communal spirit.

He prayed for renewed strength for Chief Dr. Ayefele and his team to rise from the unfortunate occurrence and continue their remarkable service to society.

“Fresh FM has built resilience over the years, and I am confident that this challenge will be overcome. My prayers are with Dr. Ayefele and the entire Fresh FM family at this difficult time.”
