Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, on his emergence as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Arisekola Alao described Oba Ladoja as a national figure whose ascension to the revered throne marks another remarkable chapter in the proud history of Ibadanland. He noted that the Olubadan-designate’s vast experience and exposure in governance, human relations, and cultural traditions stand him out as a leader uniquely prepared for the stool.

“Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, my father and a revered statesman, is not only an accomplished leader as a former Governor and Senator, but also a custodian of our cherished traditions. His ascension to the throne is a blessing to Ibadanland and the entire Yoruba race. His wealth of experience and understanding of both modern governance and traditional institutions will further elevate the cultural and political standing of our people.”

Hon. Arisekola Alao further recalled the longstanding bond between his late father, Aare AbdulAzeez Arisekola Alao, and Oba Ladoja, noting that the relationship was built on mutual respect, loyalty, and a shared love for Ibadanland. He expressed pride in continuing that legacy of respect and support for the new Olubadan.

He prayed for the success of the monarch, expressing confidence that his reign will usher in peace, unity, and development for Ibadanland and beyond.
