His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1997. Over the years, his professional competence earned him the prestigious fellowships of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI).

Hon. Ademola Wasiu Alli began his career in 1990 as an accountant and later joined the Federal Civil Service in 1993. From that point, his journey became one of steady progress, built on hard work and honesty. He started as an Auditor at the Ministry of Defence, Lagos, and rose through the ranks to become the Director of Finance and Accounts at the same ministry, a role he held with distinction until his retirement in January 2024.

He understands how government functions, from budget planning to implementation, and more importantly, how to make those structures work for the people. He served as the National Coordinator of the National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO), a role where he helped design and supervise programs that supported vulnerable Nigerians. He later served as Director of Internal Audit in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), ensuring accountability and transparency at one of the highest levels of government.
