2026: AWA Extends New Year Greetings to Oyo Central and Nigerians, Calls for Unity and Grassroots Development
Dr Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), a seasoned administrator and 2027 Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended warm greetings to residents of Oyo Central Senatorial District, Oyo State, and Nigerians at large, urging unity, resilience, and sustained commitment to grassroots development as the new year unfolds.

In his message, Dr Alli described the period as a time for reflection, renewal, and collective responsibility, noting that it offers an opportunity for individuals and communities to strengthen shared values while focusing on inclusive progress and sustainable development.

He stressed that meaningful development must be people-centred, driven from the grassroots, and anchored on policies and interventions that directly improve livelihoods across towns and communities within Oyo Central.
“This moment calls for renewed dedication to our people, especially at the community level, where the true impact of governance is felt. Development must be inclusive, deliberate, and accessible to every ward and every household,” he said.

Dr Alli also noted that signs of gradual economic stabilisation at the national level provide a basis for cautious optimism, adding that sustained reforms and prudent leadership remain essential to delivering long-term benefits to citizens.
He urged Nigerians to continue to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, noting that the ongoing reforms are geared towards strengthening the economy, improving infrastructure, and expanding opportunities for growth and empowerment.
“At the national level, efforts are being made to stabilise the economy and lay a foundation for sustainable development. It is important that we remain patient, supportive, and united as these policies take root for the collective good of our country.”
“Our strength as a nation lies in our unity. When we choose understanding over division and cooperation over conflict, we create the environment needed for progress and shared prosperity.”
Dr Ademola Wasiu Alli reaffirmed his commitment to continuous engagement with the people of Oyo Central Senatorial district, stating that leadership must remain accessible, responsive, and guided by the genuine needs of the people.
He concluded by wishing residents of Oyo Central, Oyo State, and Nigerians at large peace, good health, and renewed hope for a year marked by progress and collective achievement.
