New Year Message: Hon Ikumogunniyi Asukuna Felicitates Constituents, Calls for Hope, Accountability, and Collective Progress

Hon. Ikumogunniyi Biodun Asukuna, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State and House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan South West and Ibadan North West Federal Constituency, has extended warm New Year greetings to residents of his constituency, the people of Oyo State, and Nigerians at large.

In his New Year message, Asukuna commended Nigerians for their resilience, patience, and sacrifices in the face of economic and social challenges, describing the strength and endurance of the people as the foundation upon which national progress must continue to rest.


“Despite the pressures and uncertainties that confronted many families in the past year, our people remained steadfast, hopeful, and committed to the collective good. This spirit of resilience and sacrifice is what will carry us into a more stable and prosperous future.”

The forensic accountant with years of professional experience in financial accountability and systems integrity, urged Nigerians to approach the new year with renewed hope and a stronger commitment to unity and community development. He noted that while 2025 presented its fair share of challenges, it also recorded commendable strides in governance, policy direction, and reforms designed to strengthen the economy and improve public administration.

According to Asukuna, sustainable progress requires collaboration across faiths, constituencies, and political affiliations, stressing that national development can only be achieved when citizens place the common good above division and partisan interests.

“As a nation, we must continue to work together, regardless of our differences, to build communities anchored on peace, fairness, and opportunity. The progress we seek is collective, and it demands shared responsibility.”

He further called for continued support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, noting that ongoing economic reforms, infrastructure development, and efforts to expand opportunities for businesses and young people require patience, understanding, and constructive engagement from all stakeholders.

Hon Ikumogunniyi reaffirms his commitment to public service, he assured constituents of his readiness to serve with openness and responsibility, pledging continuous engagement, accessibility, and responsiveness to the needs and concerns of the people of Ibadan South West and Ibadan North West Federal Constituency and beyond.
