Alhaji (Dr.) Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA) has formally welcomed a group of prominent political leaders and members who recently moved from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress across Oyo Federal Constituency, describing the development as a reflection of growing confidence in progressive leadership and inclusive governance.

The 2027 Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant under the APC expressed appreciation for what he described as a significant realignment within the constituency’s political landscape, noting that the decision of the defecting members signals renewed commitment to development driven by grassroots participation and collective responsibility. The movement, coordinated by Hon Kayode Adio, former Executive Chairman of Afijio Local Government, was described as a step toward strengthening unity and cooperation among political stakeholders.

Dr Alli also applauded the influence of Sen. Hosea Agboola, a respected and prominent leader within the federal constituency whose role and standing contributed to the atmosphere of confidence that encouraged the political alignment.
He acknowledged leaders and stakeholders from various local government areas who formally joined the party, including from Afijio Local Government: Hon Toyin Oyebamiji, Hon Banji Victor, and Hon Ipadeola Abiodun.

From Oyo East Local Government, those received into the party include Hon Adejumo Kamoru Oluwatoyin, Hon Hazmat Akeem Ejide, and Hon Isiaka Risikatu.
