‎AWA Congratulates Shooting Stars on Historic CAF Confederation Cup Qualification

Dr. Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), aspirant for the Oyo Central Senatorial District seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated the management, players, coaching crew, and supporters of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) over the club’s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup after 27 years.

‎AWA described the achievement as a proud moment for Oyo State and football lovers across the country, noting that the return of the Oluyole Warriors to continental football is a reward for years of resilience, dedication, and unwavering support from loyal fans and stakeholders who kept faith with the club through difficult periods.

‎According to him, the qualification of Shooting Stars for the CAF Confederation Cup would further inspire young talents across Oyo State and strengthen the growing interest of youths in sports development and football excellence.

‎Dr. Alli, who is widely known for his commitment to youth development through the AWA Foundation, stated that sports remain a powerful tool for empowerment, unity, and social development. He noted that the foundation has consistently supported youth-focused initiatives, including football tournaments and empowerment programmes across communities within Oyo Central Senatorial District and beyond.

‎He further urged the Oluyole Warriors to remain focused and determined as they prepare for continental engagement, expressing confidence that the club would make Oyo State and Nigeria proud on the African stage.
