Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, APC candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has felicitated fathers across Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria on the occasion of Father’s Day, acknowledging their sacrifices, guidance, and invaluable contributions to family and societal development.

In a statement issued to commemorate the occasion, Arisekola Alao described fathers as pillars of strength whose dedication, discipline, and commitment continue to shape future generations and provide stability within homes and communities.

The APC candidate also paid special tribute to his late father, the first Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Arisekola Alao, for the values, principles, and enduring legacy he imparted to his children and countless others during his lifetime.

“Father’s Day offers an opportunity to appreciate the men who have devoted themselves to nurturing families and building society. I also remember with gratitude my late father, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Arisekola Alao, whose teachings, guidance, generosity, and commitment to humanity continue to inspire us. He raised us with values that have remained a compass in our lives and left a legacy that continues to impact people across generations.”

Arisekola Alao urged fathers to remain steadfast in their responsibilities as mentors, role models, and custodians of family values, noting that the future of society depends largely on the quality of leadership and guidance provided within the home.

He concluded by wishing fathers a memorable Father’s Day celebration and prayed for Almighty Allah to grant them good health, wisdom, strength, and the grace to continue making positive impacts in their families and communities.
