Arisekola Alao Congratulates Dr Mrs Florence Ajimobi on IAEA Appointment, Celebrates Matriarch’s New Milestone
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, has congratulated Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to Austria, Dr. Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, on her appointment as Nigeria’s Governor on the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the 2026–2028 term.

In a congratulatory message, Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Mrs Ajimobi’s experience, dedication and distinguished service, noting that her new responsibility provides another opportunity for her to contribute to Nigeria’s interests on the global stage.

Arisekola Alao noted that her role on the IAEA Board of Governors would enable her to contribute to deliberations on nuclear safety and security, safeguards, peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology, as well as international cooperation, while advancing Nigeria’s interests within the global nuclear governance framework.
