Hon. Ikumogunniyi Biodun Asukuna, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 House of Representatives aspirant for the Ibadan North West and Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, has felicitated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday and first anniversary on the throne.

‎Asukuna, in his congratulatory message, described the double celebration as a significant occasion for the people of Ibadanland, noting that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience in public service, governance and community leadership has continued to be reflected in his role as the traditional ruler of the ancient city.

‎‎He acknowledged the monarch’s contributions to the growth and unity of Ibadanland, describing the Olubadan institution as an important symbol of the history, identity, culture and shared values of the people. Oba Ladoja was officially installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland in September 2025.
