Oyo Labour Protest: No Victor, No Vanquish- Seyi Makinde

“I made the broadcast out of annoyance”

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State extended an olive branch to the State Labour leadership and workers during a Monday morning address, emphasizing a spirit of reconciliation.

Both sides acknowledged their missteps, with the labor leaders apologizing for their recent actions and inactions, while the Governor expressing remorse for his broadcast delivered in a moment of annoyance.

Eager to foster a positive working relationship, the Governor pledged to address the labour’s demands and committed to regular quarterly parleys with the labor leadership to enhance communication and collaboration in the state.

“I have engaged with your leaders, they apologized and in return, I also apologized, especially for the part that concerned Labour in the broadcast.

“In all our actions, Oyo State must come first as governors come and go but Oyo State will always remain.”
