Ministerial Nominee: We are not orphans- Barr Akeem Agbaje

“We are not lost, that I can assure you, engagements are ongoing and we are not lost in the scheme of things”

In a captivating live broadcast on the radio show ‘Political Circuit’ hosted by Mayor Isaac Brown on Fresh FM 105.9 in Ibadan, Barr Akeem Agbaje, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Oyo State Party gubernatorial aspirant, hailed President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an exceptionally astute leader known for his meticulous approach to appointments. Agbaje praised Tinubu’s cerebral nature and acknowledged the deliberate manner in which he makes key appointments.

Turning his attention to the speculated list of potential ministers from Oyo State, Agbaje confidently refuted the notion that he is lacking in support. Despite some political factions attempting to assert their superiority, he emphasized that he is not without allies in his pursuit.

“Although some people will want to posture as if they are better advantaged, Asiwaju is a progressive leader, a very intelligent man. He knows what he will do and when he will do it, as much as we can run away from speculations as to who is on the list, if there is a list at this point anyway, we are not orphans as some people think.

“We are not lost, that I can assure you. Maybe we are not posturing as some people would want, engagements are ongoing and we are not lost in the scheme of things.

“We contributed and work assiduously for Asiwaju to win and he is not the person that will not compensate or reward hard work,” added the Oyo State Secretary of Tinubu Shettima Grassroot Independent Campaign Council (TSGICC).

On coronation of the Ibadan high chiefs as beaded obas, the legal luminary characterized this event as a purely political move, highlighting how it disrupts the traditionally settled chieftaincy succession system in Ibadan.

Agbaje emphasized that Ibadan has long been known for its well-established and stable political system when it comes to chieftaincy succession. However, he believes that the crowning of the high chiefs as beaded oba is unsettling the existing order.
