PSC Inaugurates 11-Member Board to Oversee Recruitment of Police Personnel

Board to determine vacancies, set guidelines for Nigeria Police Recruitment

Dr. Solomon Arese, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), has inaugurated an 11-member board in Abuja to oversee the recruitment of personnel into the Nigeria Police.

The board’s main responsibilities include determining the available vacancies in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and establishing guidelines for the recruitment process.

They will also decide on the online platform for advertising and receiving applications, as well as disseminating information through national newspapers and other means.

Dr. Arese emphasized the board’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and fair recruitment process that does not discriminate based on gender, religion, or geography.

The board is chaired by Chief Onyemuche Nnamani and includes representatives from the PSC, Nigeria Police, Ministry of Police Affairs, Federal Character Commission, and Police Colleges. Additionally, members from the PSC and the Nigeria Police Force will serve on the board, with Olabode Akinbamilowo appointed as Secretary.
