Born and raised in the heart of Ibadan, Mayomi Kazeem Olabamiji ABIMBOLA, popularly known as MKO Abimbola, hailed from the Abogun Compound of Popoyemoja in Ibadan.

Dr MKO Abimbola Abogun’s educational journey took him from Victory Nursery and Primary School, Oke Ado to Ibadan Grammar School and later to the prestigious University of Ilorin, where he obtained Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics.

His pursuit of knowledge led him to the United States, where he earned various diplomas in Information Technology, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Associate, amongst other certifications, a Bay Path University in Boston as well as a MCPHS University in Boston graduate.Dr. MKO Abimbola is a distinguished Harvard Medical School scholar.

His commitment to education is further exemplified by his role as a columnist in the Nigerian Daily Independent Newspaper, where he shares valuable insights on health education.

Abogun’s professional journey spans diverse industries, from agrochemicals marketing in Nigeria to contributing his expertise in manufacturing, telecommunications, and healthcare in the United States.

This breadth of experience equips him with a global perspective crucial for steering Ibadan Southwest Local Government toward prosperity.

While Abogun hasn’t held political office previously, his philanthropic endeavors speak volumes about his commitment to touching lives.
