In a shocking display of disregard for democratic principles, Hon. Babatunde Alonge, a candidate for chairmanship under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan North East Local Government, has been subjected to a series of reprehensible acts of intimidation and harassment aimed at stifling his campaign efforts.

“The destruction of my campaign billboards in Aremo is not just an attack on me but an attack on the democratic rights of the people of Ibadan North East,” stated Hon. Babatunde Alonge, in response to the recent vandalism.

This brazen act of vandalism not only undermines the democratic process but also serves as a stark reminder of the lengths some individuals are willing to go to suppress the will of the people.

In the face of such blatant attempts to silence opposition voices, it is imperative that the electorate refuses to be intimidated. “We cannot allow fear to dictate our choices. The people of Ibadan North East deserve to have a fair and transparent election,” emphasized Hon. Alonge.

Hon. Tunde Alonge has tirelessly worked to engage with the people of Ibadan North East, presenting his vision for positive change and development in the community. “I am committed to serving the interests of the people, and I will not be deterred by these cowardly acts,” he affirmed.

Now more than ever, it is crucial for the electorate to stand united against these despicable acts of intimidation and show their support for Hon. Babatunde Alonge. “Together, we can overcome these challenges and build a better future for our community.”

The perpetrators behind these reprehensible acts must be held accountable for their actions, and measures must be taken to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.

He insisted that “Justice must prevail, and the voices of the people must be heard.”

“As the election draws near, let us send a clear message that we will not be cowed by intimidation tactics. Let us stand together in solidarity with the mandate of Hon. Babatunde Alonge and reaffirm our commitment to democracy, justice, and the rule of law,” he submitted.
