Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has rejoiced with Muslims on the occasion of the Eid Fitr celebrations.

The Eid Fitr which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. In his Eid Fitr message, he urged Muslims to continue in the spirit of Ramadan by continually committing themselves to spiritual rebirth. This he said involves prayers and good conduct which keeps us nearer to Almighty Allah.

“I must congratulate my brothers and sisters in Islam on the occasion of another Eid Fitr celebration. It is a thing of sheer joy to have participated and completed the holy month of Ramadan. I want to urge Muslims to imbibe the lessons and spirit of the holy month even after it.

“The spiritual practices of prayer, love and kindness should not stop and the vices and seeming wrongdoings that were suspended should not be resumed. We must continue in the mood of prayer for our dear country and leaders. To birth the nation of our dreams, we must pray Almighty Allah guides our leaders right.”

The APC chieftain urged moderation and kindness in celebration.

“As we celebrate, let us extend hands of love to others and allow others share in our abundance. As we celebrate, let us do it in moderation, Ramadan teaches us moderation and we should not go overboard celebrating it. As we all have participated in this year’s Ramadan, may we witness and participate in many more In Sha Allah.
