Oyo has Lost a Statesman, Community leader amd Philanthropist, Barrister Agbaje Mourns Prince Afonja
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has mourned the passing of renowned business magnate, philanthropist and former minister, Chief Ajibola Afonja. He described his death as painful and one that would create huge void that would be extremely difficult to fill.
“This is a trying time for the great people of Oyo as they come to terms with the passing of their prominent son, Chief Ajibola Afonja. Baba Afonja was a man of peace who lived his life instilling peace, touching lives and pushing for the progress of Oyo town. He was a unifier and leader of thought. His legacies of peace, kindness and industry will continue to shine forth. Indeed Oyo state and Nigeria has lost an enigma and I commiserate with the family, friends and associates, and the Oyo community over this hugely painful loss.
It is my prayer that Almighty Allah will grant him Aljannah Firdaus, strengthen and comfort his family.”
