A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and prominent son of Ibadan, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, on his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Prince Egunleti Benjamin, Agbaje remarked, “It is an auspicious moment in the annals of Ibadan history to witness the coronation of a new king. I heartily congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, on his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“As a true son of the soil, I am proud of the rich history of Ibadanland, of which the ascension to the throne is a significant part. Oba Olakulehin is a man who has played a significant role in the progress, politics, and development of Nigeria, having served in the military and retired as a soldier, as well as a member of the Federal House of Representatives in the 3rd Republic. I firmly believe that our father, His Imperial Majesty, will bring his wealth of experience to bear in steering the affairs of Ibadanland to the next era and level of development.
“I congratulate all sons and daughters of Ibadanland and wish our king, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, a long, peaceful, and prosperous reign. Ade a pe lori, bata a pe lese, eshin oba a j’eko pe.”
