Aim for Excellence: Hon Adekanmbi Promises Scholarships for Outstanding NECO GCE Students

Hon Abimbola Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner of Finance, Budget, and Planning in Oyo State, has extended his best wishes to students he sponsored for the ongoing NECO GCE examinations. The initiative, aimed at supporting educational advancement, reflects Adekanmbi’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talents in Oyo State.

In a statement issued from his office in Ibadan on Monday, Adekanmbi expressed confidence in the students’ abilities while encouraging them to approach the examination with diligence and determination.

“I want to take this opportunity to wish all the students the very best as they begin their NECO GCE today. Education is a powerful tool for personal and societal growth, and I believe in your capacity to excel. This is your moment to shine,” Adekanmbi stated.

He further reassured the students of continued support, announcing additional incentives for outstanding performance in the examinations.

“For those who perform exceptionally well in the NECO GCE, I will sponsor their JAMB registration and offer scholarships for their university education. This is part of my commitment to ensuring that no talented child is left behind due to financial constraints,” he said.

As it’s customary for beneficiaries of Adekanmbi’s annual scholarship programmes, each of the top scorers in the NECO and JAMB examinations from the local government areas covered by the programme will receive an automatic scholarship for full tuition at any federal university of their choice. This structured incentive aims to motivate students to strive for excellence and rewards their academic dedication.

Adekanmbi concluded by encouraging the students to give their best and assured them of his continued support. “May Almighty God crown your efforts with success. Your success is not only your pride but also a victory for the future of our great state.”
