In a recent development, Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of 45 Permanent Secretaries and 3 Executive Secretaries for various sectors in the Oyo State Civil Service. The announcement was made in a memo released by the office of the Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are spread across different sectors of governance, with 16 appointed for the Mainstream sector, 6 for the Education sector, 6 for the Health sector, and 7 for the Local Government sector. In addition, a new Permanent Secretary and Clerk of the House of Assembly, as well as a Surveyor General for Oyo State, have also been appointed.

The 16 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries for the Mainstream sector include:
