The Member of the House of Representatives for Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, Hon Akin Alabi, has extended warm felicitations to Hon. (Alh) Ismail Babatunde Oyetunde, popularly known as Akanni Eere, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement signed by his Media and Publicity Aide, Hameed Mustapha Ramadan, Hon Akin Alabi described Hon Akanni Eere as a remarkable leader and a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the Ona Ara community and beyond remain commendable.

“Hon Akanni Eere’s exceptional commitment to public service and community development is a source of inspiration to all. From his early days as a teacher under Oyo TESCOM to his bold decision to join politics in 1995, he has consistently exemplified a life of service and dedication to the welfare of his people,” the statement read.

The statement further highlighted Hon Akanni Eere’s political journey, which includes serving as an elected Councillor during the 1996 zero-party elections, as Vice Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government in 1997, and as a Legislative Aide to Senator Teslim Folarin at the National Assembly in 2007.

He also served as Acting Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government under the late Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala in 2009 and as Caretaker Chairman of the same local government during the administration of the late Gov. Abiola Ajimobi from 2013 to 2015. His efforts to represent the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a candidate for the Ona Ara State Constituency in the 2023 General Elections and as a Chairmanship candidate in the 2024 Local Government elections further underscore his dedication to public service and good governance.

Beyond his numerous political achievements, Hon Akanni Eere is celebrated as a devoted family man and an inspirational figure whose life continues to motivate those around him.

Hon Akin Alabi prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Hon. Akanni Eere sound health, abundant blessings, and many more years of impactful service to humanity.
