Hon Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, Ibadan North Federal Constituency Hopeful, has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina, the Sarkin Sasa Sardaunan Yamma, who until his demise served as the Chairman of the Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers in the Southern States of Nigeria.

In a condolence message, Arisekola Alao described the late Sarkin Sasa as not only a revered traditional ruler but also a spiritual leader whose wisdom and guidance brought unity and harmony to his people. He noted that Alhaji Katsina’s legacy was defined by his unwavering commitment to justice, peaceful coexistence, and service to humanity.

“Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina was a leader in every sense—a custodian of tradition and a spiritual guide to many. His devotion to the welfare of his people, his advocacy for peace, and his steadfast commitment to fostering intercommunal harmony will be remembered for generations,” Arisekola Alao stated.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Sasa community, and the wider traditional and religious leadership across the Southern States, praying that they find strength and solace during this difficult period.
