Saudi Arabia has officially announced the sighting of the Shawwal crescent, marking the end of Ramadan and the commencement of Eid al-Fitr celebrations on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

The confirmation came from the Kingdom’s religious authorities on Saturday, following the traditional moon-sighting process. The official announcement was also shared on Haramain’s official Facebook page, a global platform for the Muslim community.

“The crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1446 was sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025,” the statement read.
