Agbaje Congratulates Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade 1 on His Coronation as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo

Barr Akeem Agbaje, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Alaafin Akeem Abimbola Owoade I, on his official coronation as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, describing the event as a new dawn for the ancient town and its people.
In a goodwill message, Agbaje joined other dignitaries across the country to celebrate the historic occasion, commending the Oyo Mesi and the kingmakers for their choice and the smooth transition process that led to the installation of the new monarch.


He described the new Alaafin as a monarch whose ascension symbolises continuity, cultural preservation, and a commitment to the socio-economic upliftment of Oyo. According to him, Alaafin Owoade 1 is stepping into a revered throne that embodies centuries of Yoruba heritage and leadership.
“The Alaafin stool is one of the most culturally significant institutions in Yorubaland. The installation of Alaafin Akeem Abimbola Owoade 1 marks the beginning of a new era for the people of Oyo,” Agbaje said.
“I pray that his reign will bring peace and steady development and growth for the people of Oyo empire and beyond.
