Hon Shola Olatunbosun, a business tycoon and committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has formally declared his intention to vie for the party’s ticket for the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The declaration took place at Elekuro playing ground , where party leaders, elders, and members gathered to receive the aspirant. Olatunbosun expressed his readiness to represent the constituency with integrity, progressive ideas, and unwavering loyalty to the party.

Speaking during the event, Hon Olatunbosun highlighted his track record of service and commitment to the development of the constituency, promising to bring purposeful representation to the National Assembly if given the party’s mandate.

“I have come here today, not just to inform you, but to seek your prayers, guidance, and support as I step forward to serve Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency under our great party, the APC,” he said. “This is a journey of responsibility, and I am confident that with your support, we will bring the desired change and development to our people.”

The event was well attended by notable party stakeholders including the APC Local Government Party Chairman, Prince Abuduliwasi Ogundipe; the Secretary, Hon Mumin Adedokun; as well as Hon Fawole, Hon Ogundele, Baba Taiwo, Alhaji Abuduraseed Folarin, Hon Esho, and several others who lauded the bold step taken by Hon Shola Olatunbosun and assured him of a fair and inclusive process.

In his remarks, the Local Government party chairman, Prince Ogundipe commended Hon Olatunbosun for his courage and early declaration, urging all aspirants to engage the party with respect and unity. “What we have seen here today is commendable. Hon Olatunbosun has shown respect for the party structure by coming to officially declare. We wish him the best and assure all aspirants of a level playing ground,” the chairman stated.
