Ibadan South West/Ibadan North West Federal Constituency Hopeful, Hon. Ikumogunniyi Biodun Asukuna, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Chief Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin on his recent elevation and installation as the Aare Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr. Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin.

In a congratulatory message personally signed and made available to newsmen, Asukuna described the elevation of Senator Folarin, the immediate past gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and former Senate Leader, as a worthy honour, reflective of his towering contributions to Ibadanland and his longstanding commitment to public service.

The Ibadan-born politician noted that the Aare Alaasa title is not only prestigious but culturally symbolic, being a position of high rank in the traditional chieftaincy hierarchy of Ibadan. He lauded the Olubadan for finding Senator Folarin worthy of such exalted recognition, having previously served with distinction as the Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland.
