A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and Oluyole Federal Constituency hopeful, Prof. Abiodun Gbolagade, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Chief Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin on his elevation and installation as the Aare Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The revered title was formally bestowed on Senator Folarin by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Dr. Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, in accordance with the customs and traditions of the ancient city. Prior to this elevation, Senator Folarin held the distinguished title of Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a statement released to the media, Prof. Gbolagade described the conferment as a worthy recognition of Senator Folarin’s continued service to Ibadanland and his unwavering commitment to the progress and cultural heritage of the city. He noted that the former Senate Majority Leader has remained a prominent political figure who has consistently represented the interests of his people with dignity and vision.

“Oloye Folarin’s elevation to the Aare Alaasa stool is a testament to his deep-rooted connection with Ibadan’s traditional institution and his invaluable contributions to public service over the years. This honour further affirms his standing as a true son of the soil who holds dear the legacy of our forebears.”

While congratulating Senator Folarin on this milestone, Prof. Gbolagade prayed that Almighty Allah grants him long life, renewed strength, and continued wisdom to serve both the traditional institution and the larger society in peace, honour, and prosperity.
