Oyo State Concludes 3-Day Workshop on Digital Transformation in Public Service

A transformative three-day capacity-building workshop on Digital Transformation in Public Service has come to a close in Oyo State. The workshop, which was organized by the Office of the Head of Service, brought together civil servants and IT professionals to deepen their understanding of global best practices in digital governance.

The training sessions were designed to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity in public service delivery. Participants explored cutting-edge tools and real-world applications in digital administration, marking a significant step toward modernizing the Oyo State civil service.


One of the participants, Mrs Ajibola Ogunwale, described the experience as “inspiring, insightful, and refreshing,” noting that despite his IT background, the sessions unveiled new perspectives and practical solutions. “It was an eye-opener, even for someone in the IT field like me,” she remarked.

Mrs. Ogunwale was also honoured as the top participant at the close of the workshop in recognition of her contributions and engagement throughout the sessions. She expressed surprise and gratitude for the award, saying, “never underestimate your effort and dedication; it pays off when you least expect it.”

The presentation of the prize was conducted by Mr. P. A. Oyekunle, Permanent Secretary (Service Matters), while the certificate of participation was awarded by Dr. Kolawole, head of SUPERURBAN Ltd, the consulting firm that facilitated the workshop.

The workshop is one of several capacity-building efforts being implemented under the administration of Engr.Seyi Makinde, underscoring the government’s commitment to repositioning the civil service for digital-era excellence.
