Prof. Abiodun Gbolagade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and Oluyole Federal Constituency hopeful, has extended his congratulations to Senator Yunus Akintunde, who represents Oyo Central Senatorial District, on his appointment as the Committee Chairman of the South West Development Commission (SWDC).

In a congratulatory statement, Prof. Gbolagade described Senator Akintunde’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his legislative experience, intellectual depth, and longstanding commitment to regional development.

“The appointment of Senator Yunus Akintunde as the Committee Chairman on the South West Development Commission is a reflection of the Senate’s confidence in his capacity to oversee critical legislative groundwork for regional progress. His leadership is expected to lay a solid foundation for the Commission’s structure and long-term impact across the South West geopolitical zone.”

Prof. Gbolagade expressed optimism that with Senator Akintunde steering the committee, issues of infrastructural development, youth empowerment, education, and economic revitalization across the region would receive due attention and legislative priority.
