Arisekola Alao Mourns Passing of Alhaji Chief Lamidi Ajadi, Hails Legacy of Service and Faith

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao,  Ibadan North Federal Constituency Hopeful, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Alhaji Chief Lamidi Ajadi, the Muslim community, and the people of Ibadan over the passing of the revered elder statesman and community leader.

In a condolence message made available, Arisekola Alao described Alhaji Lamidi Ajadi as a man of honour, a devout Muslim, a successful tyre merchant of high repute, and a philanthropist whose impact reverberated across the social and economic fabric of Ibadan.


“Alhaji Chief Lamidi Ajadi was not only a pillar in the business sector but also a guiding light in the Muslim Ummah. He lived a life marked by faith, discipline, and unwavering dedication to community development. His entrepreneurial excellence as a foremost tyre merchant in Ibadan stood him out as a model of hard work and perseverance.”

The former Commissioner for Youth and Sports noted that the late elder’s philanthropic gestures, wise counsel, and consistent support for religious and communal causes will be greatly missed. He emphasized that Alhaji Ajadi’s life was a testament to leadership by example — combining commerce, faith, and charity for the upliftment of society.

“His legacy must not be allowed to fade with his passage. I encourage all who knew and benefitted from his guidance to emulate his virtues of generosity, service to humanity, and unwavering commitment to the common good.”

He offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Alhaji Ajadi, asking Almighty Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and to comfort his family and the wider Ibadan community.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds, and grant his family the strength to uphold his enduring legacy of faith, unity, and service.”
