Arisekola Alao Mourns Ambassador Ibironke Adefope

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State and Ibadan North Federal Constituency Hopeful , has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Ambassador Ibironke Adefope, Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to Zambia and a respected member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.
In a solemn message, Arisekola Alao described the late Ambassador Adefope as a distinguished stateswoman, accomplished diplomat, and a great Amazon whose life of service, courage, and dedication left an indelible mark on both local and national stages.

“Mama Ibironke Adefope was more than a diplomat; she was a beacon of integrity, grace, and wisdom. Her contributions to nation-building, her unflinching service in Nigeria’s diplomatic corps, and her elder statesmanship within Oyo State and betond will remain enduring points of reference.”
“Her passing is a monumental loss to Ibadanland, to the diplomatic community, and to all who value dignity in public service. Mama stood tall with grace and carried herself with honour, leaving behind a legacy that inspires generations.”

He extended heartfelt condolences to the Eegunjenmi family, the larger Akinloye lineage, and Ambassador Adefope’s immediate family, praying for strength, peace, and comfort during this difficult time.
“I pray that Almighty Allah grants the family the fortitude to bear this great loss and may He grant our dear mother eternal rest.”
