Prof Abiodun Gbolagade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and Oluyole Federal Constituency Hopeful, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Alhaji Chief Lamidi Ajadi, describing him as a distinguished elder whose life embodied faith, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to the growth and unity of Ibadanland.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Prof Gbolagade commiserated with deceased family, the Muslim Ummah, and the entire people of Ibadan, noting that the late Chief Ajadi was not only a devout Muslim but also a respected businessman and philanthropist whose contributions to the socio-economic and political development of Ibadan would remain indelible.

“Chief Lamidi Ajadi lived a life of purpose, guided by the values of faith, integrity, and compassion. His impact was felt not only in the business community but also within the Muslim faithful, where he served as a moral compass and source of wisdom.”

“As a leader who was deeply involved in the progress of our city and our people, Baba Ajadi represented the finest ideals of civic responsibility and religious devotion. His voice of counsel will be missed, especially at a time when our society yearns for exemplary leadership rooted in principle and sincerity.”

Prof Gbolagade offered heartfelt prayers for the repose of the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comfort those left behind.
