Arisekola Alao Commemorates One-Year Remembrance of Hon Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, Pledges to Sustain His Legacy

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, Ibadan North Federal Constituency Hopeful, has paid tribute to the late Hon. Olaide Akinremi, whose passing on July 10, 2024, marked a deep loss for the constituency and Oyo State at large. In a solemn statement marking the one-year remembrance of the revered lawmaker, Arisekola Alao described the late Akinremi Jagaban as a compassionate and purpose-driven leader whose service to Ibadan North remains indelible.
Hon. Olaide Akinremi, Jagaban as fondly called, represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency at the National Assembly from June 2019 until his untimely death. His tenure was marked by a strong focus on human capacity development, community advancement, and accessible representation.



“Hon. Akinremi was a representative who brought a new dimension to public service. He prioritized the welfare of his constituents and went beyond the call of duty to touch lives and uplift communities.”

Arisekola Alao emphasized the importance of preserving the legacy of Hon. Akinremi, promising to build on the foundation laid by the late representative if elected.
“Should I be entrusted with the mandate to represent Ibadan North, I will lead with openness, unity, and a clear focus on development. I am committed to consolidating on the good works of Hon. Olaide Akinremi and expanding them to meet the evolving needs of our people,” he pledged.
