IBADAN NORTH: Akinremi Family, Legacy Forum Thanks Oyo State Government for Immortalization of late Hon Olaide Akinremi Jagaban

The Head of the Akinremi Family, Chief Abideen Abiodun Akinremi has expressed deep gratitude to the Oyo State Government and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, H.E Seyi Makinde over the honour done to immortalize their family’s late son, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban who died in July 2024.

In his words, the honor done on his late brother through the naming of the Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban G.R.A at Samonda Ibadan, extends to their entire family, and it is something to be proud of, as their family name will continue to be relevant and remembered within Ibadan North and Oyo State for decades to come.


Chief Abiodun Akinremi thanked the Oyo State Government for their all time support to their family since the demise of their son, from his burial to his 8 days Fidau last year, and up to his recent 1 year remembrance event, stating that their family acknowledges everything that has been done to support them, and will always reciprocate such good gestures by standing by those who stand by them when it becomes important.
Joining this appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde were also members of Akinremi’s Think Tank and Akinremi Legacy Forum present at the unveiling event which took place at the estate venue in Samonda Ibadan yesterday 13th August 2025. The Akinremi Legacy Forum understands that goodness can only be repaid with goodness.


For all followers of late Hon. Olaide Akinremi, it is a thing of joy to have Prince Akinremi Jagaban honored in the way the Oyo State Government had done, and such honor deserves applause, praise, commendation and commensurate support.
