Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Prof. Adeolu Akande, former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), on the passing of his father, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande, who joined the saints triumphant on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 90.

In his condolence message, Arisekola-Alao described the late Pa Akande as a devoted family man, community leader, and a man of faith who lived a long and fulfilled life marked by integrity, service, and unwavering values.

“Pa Amos Adetunji Akande lived to an admirable age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of discipline, humility, and community service. His life is a testimony of God’s grace, and his memory will continue to inspire not only his immediate family but all who had the privilege of knowing him,” Arisekola-Alao said.

He further prayed that Almighty Allah grant the departed eternal rest and continue to strengthen Prof. Adeolu Akande, the entire Akande family, and associates to carry on his legacy of faith and service.
