Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has congratulated Oloye (Sen) Teslim Folarin on his elevation to the esteemed title of Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I. The honour will be conferred on him today, 21 November 2025.

In his congratulatory message, Arisekola-Alao described Sen. Folarin’s new title as a worthy recognition of his dedication to the advancement of Ibadanland. He stated that the new Agbaakin has consistently demonstrated commitment to the wellbeing of the people and has been a strong supporter of cultural values and community development.

“Oloye Teslim Folarin has served Ibadanland with distinction. His elevation to Agbaakin Olubadan is a reflection of his character, his contributions, and the respect he commands across the state. This honour is well earned.”

He commended the Olubadan, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, for sustaining the rich traditions of Ibadanland and for recognizing individuals who continue to uphold the heritage and unity of the ancient city.

Arisekola-Alao expressed confidence that Senator Folarin will bring even greater value to his new role and continue to support initiatives that promote peace, progress, and cultural pride.
