Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli Felicitates New Oyo NUJ Chairman, Akeem Babatunde Abass
Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli, seasoned administrator and 2027 Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Akeem Babatunde Abass on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council.

In his message, Alhaji Alli described the election of Abass as a positive development for the journalism profession in the state, noting that his experience and commitment to truth-driven reporting will further strengthen the union.

He commended the outgoing chairman, Ademola Babalola, for his dedicated service since 2019 and for leading the council with dignity, responsibility and professionalism.
“Alli said the transition from Babalola to Abass reflects the continuity of leadership rooted in merit and service, and he expressed optimism that the new chairman will build on the strong foundation already laid.”

He added that the media remains one of the strongest pillars of democracy, urging the new leadership of Oyo NUJ to remain steadfast, united and committed to the ethics of the profession.
“Alli wished Abass and the entire Oyo NUJ greater height, praying that the new tenure brings progress, stability and renewed strength to the council.”
