2026: Arisekola-Alao Reaffirms Commitment to Service, Calls for Hope and Steadfastness

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has extended New Year greetings to residents of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigerians across the country as the nation steps into 2026.

In his New Year message, Arisekola-Alao commended the people for their resilience, patience, and civic maturity in the face of economic and social challenges, noting that their steadfastness continues to serve as a foundation for national stability and progress.


“As we enter a new year, I extend my sincere appreciation to the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigerians at large for their perseverance and sense of responsibility, even in difficult times. Your resilience and commitment to peaceful coexistence remain vital to our collective journey as a nation.”

He urged citizens to remain resolute, hopeful, and forward-looking, describing 2026 as a year filled with renewed hope and possibilities, while encouraging unity of purpose across communities and institutions.

“The new year presents us with another opportunity to strengthen our resolve, remain steadfast, and believe in a better future. Despite the challenges we may face, 2026 should be approached with optimism, discipline, and a shared commitment to progress.”

The APC chieftain also called for continued support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, noting that ongoing economic reforms, infrastructure development, and efforts to expand opportunities across sectors require collective understanding and sustained public support.

“The reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are aimed at repositioning the economy, strengthening infrastructure, and creating opportunities that will benefit both present and future generations. Continued support and patience are essential as these measures take root.”

Arisekola-Alao reaffirmed his personal commitment to consistent engagement with constituents, assuring them of his accessibility, responsiveness, and readiness to serve in line with their aspirations and expectations.

“As always, I remain committed to continuous engagement with the people, staying accessible, and responding responsibly to the needs of our communities. Service remains a responsibility I take seriously.”

He concluded by wishing Nigerians peace, good health, and renewed hope for meaningful progress in the new year, while calling for unity and shared responsibility in building a stronger nation.

Arisekola-Alao prayed that 2026 would usher in stability, improved livelihoods, and collective advancement for individuals, families, andt he country at large.
