Arisekola-Alao Celebrates Oba Abduljelil Adegboyega Sanni, Elegbeda of Egbeda

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao has celebrated His Royal Majesty, Oba Abduljelil Adegboyega Sanni, the Elegbeda of Egbeda town in Oyo State, describing him as a respected traditional ruler and a steady voice of leadership within Ibadanland.

In a message made available to the press, the former Commissioner for Youth and Sport in Oyo State acknowledged the monarch’s contributions to peace, community development, and the preservation of cultural values in Egbeda and its environs. He noted that Oba Sanni has continued to discharge his royal duties with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the wellbeing of his people.


“His Royal Majesty, Oba Abduljelil Adegboyega Sanni, has shown consistent dedication to the unity and progress of Egbeda town. His leadership reflects calm judgement, respect for tradition, and a genuine concern for the people he serves.”

“As President of the Lagelu 16 Club of Ibadan, Kabiyesi has provided guidance and leadership that continue to promote friendship, mutual respect, and service to society among members. It is a privilege to share such a platform under his leadership.”

Arisekola-Alao described the occasion as an opportunity to honour the monarch’s dedication to both traditional and civic responsibilities, noting that his conduct continues to earn respect within and beyond Oyo State.

“On this special occasion, I join family members, traditional institutions, associates, and well-wishers in celebrating Kabiyesi. I pray that Almighty Allah grants His Royal Majesty long life, good health, wisdom, and continued strength to lead Egbeda town in peace and progress. May Allah uphold his throne and bless his reign with stability and prosperity.”
