Hon Abiodun Gbolagade Commiserates with Oyo State Ex – Deputy on Mother’s Passing
Hon. Abiodun Gbolagade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and a 2027 aspirant for the Oluyole Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, has commiserated with elder statesman and former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Iyiola Oladokun, and members of his family over the passing of their matriarch, Chief Mrs Alice Idowu Oladokun.

Chief Mrs Oladokun passed on at the ripe age of 101, a milestone Hon. Gbolagade described as a testament to a life of grace, strength, and enduring values that have continued to reflect in her children and family.

In his condolence message, Hon. Gbolagade expressed deep sympathy to Barr. Iyiola Oladokun, noting that the loss of a mother, even at a fulfilled age, is a profound moment that calls for collective prayers and support.
“The passing of Mama at 101 is a reminder of a life well spent. She was blessed with longevity and left behind a legacy of discipline, dignity, and service, which is evident in the character and public life of her children.”

Hon. Gbolagade described Barrister Iyiola Oladokun as a respected statesman whose contributions to Oyo State remain significant, adding that the values instilled by his late mother played a major role in shaping his life of service to humanity and the state.
“At this moment of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with Barr. Oladokun and the entire family. May God comfort them, strengthen them, and grant Mama peaceful repose.”
