Ramadan and Lent: AWA Urges Prayers for Peace, Prosperity, and Responsible Leadership
Dr Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA) has congratulated Muslims and Christians across Oyo Central Senatorial District and beyond as the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent commence, urging them to embrace the periods as moments of deep reflection, prayer, and renewed commitment to the wellbeing of society.

In his message, AWA described both observances as sacred seasons that call for spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and compassion, noting that they provide an opportunity for believers to seek divine guidance for their lives, communities, and the nation at large.

He encouraged adherents of both faiths to use the periods to pray for peace, prosperity, and responsible leadership at all levels, stressing that collective prayers and sincere devotion remain essential in building a stable and progressive society.
“These sacred seasons remind us of the power of faith, sacrifice, and humility. They call us to look beyond ourselves and seek the peace, progress, and unity of our communities and our country.”

Dr Ademola Wasiu Alli further urged residents to strengthen bonds of harmony across religious and social lines, noting that shared values of compassion, tolerance, and service remain vital in fostering peaceful coexistence and collective development.
He wished Muslims and Christians a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and Lenten season, expressing hope that the period would bring renewed strength, divine blessings, and lasting peace to families, communities, and the nation.
