Ramadan and Lent: Hon Abiodun Gbolagade Urges Prayers for Peace and Responsible Leadership

Hon Abiodun Gbolagade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and 2027 Federal House of Representatives aspirant for Oluyole Federal Constituency, has congratulated Muslims and Christians in Oluyole Federal Constituency and beyond on the commencement of the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent.

In a goodwill message, Gbolagade described the overlapping observances as a significant spiritual moment that calls for reflection, renewal, and a collective commitment to the wellbeing of society. He urged adherents of both faiths to use the period for sincere devotion, moral discipline, and intercessory prayers for peace and progress across Nigeria.

“These sacred periods remind us of the importance of humility, sacrifice, and obedience to divine guidance. They offer an opportunity for personal renewal and collective reflection on the values that bind us as a people.”

Hon Gbolagade encouraged both Muslim and Christian faithful to pray for national stability, economic prosperity, and responsible leadership at all levels of governance. According to him, spiritual commitment and moral responsibility remain essential foundations for sustainable development and social harmony.

“At a time when our nation continues to navigate important challenges, collective prayers and sincere devotion are indispensable. We must seek divine guidance for wisdom in leadership, peace in our communities, and unity among our people.”

He added that the seasons of fasting and reflection also provide an opportunity for citizens to strengthen bonds of compassion, tolerance, and mutual respect, noting that shared values of faith and service can help foster a more stable and progressive society.

Gbolagade wished Muslims and Christians a spiritually fulfilling period of worship, expressing hope that the lessons of sacrifice, discipline, and love would continue to guide both individuals and the nation toward lasting peace and development.
