Diplomatic Service: Chief (Mrs) Ajimobi Heads to Austria as Tinubu Assigns 65 Ambassadors
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the posting of 65 ambassadors-designate to Nigeria’s foreign missions across the world, including the appointment of Fatima Florence Ajimobi as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirming that the Senate of Nigeria had earlier cleared the nominees in December.


Chief (Mrs.) Ajimobi, wife of the late former Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, is among 34 non-career ambassadors approved for deployment to various countries and multilateral missions.
According to the State House statement, the approved postings for the non-career ambassadors and high commissioners include:

The Presidency disclosed that the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already received agrément from the United Kingdom for Ambassador Aminu Dalhatu as High Commissioner, while the France has granted agrément for Ambassador Ayodele Oke.
The ministry has also transmitted the nominations of the remaining ambassadors to their host countries for agrément in line with diplomatic procedures.
President Tinubu further directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to immediately begin the induction programme for the ambassadors-designate ahead of their formal assumption of duty in their respective missions.
